Description: A very rare handmade vintage limitied edition No1. ceramic Christmas plate from 1981 made by the very well-known and prestigious … more A very rare handmade vintage limitied edition No1. ceramic Christmas plate from 1981 made by the very well-known and prestigious designer Stig Lindberg, from Gustavsberg, Sweden. The inspiration for this plate is the biblical motif of the "Flight into Egypt" as the plate is called. Mary and baby Jesus are riding on the donkey, with Josef walking on the side, the whole nativity scene has a naive charm about it, but it is the colors and the references, which makes this plate a real centerpiece that stands out. It has a metal wire, ready to be placed on a wall and it also has the original box.
