This black-and-white photograph captures a gondolier working along the Grand Canal in Venice, with the famous Rialto Bridge in the background. Erich Andres, born in Germany in 1905 and passing away in 1992, started his photography career in 1920 and was one of the early adopters of the Leica camera.
