Colorful works of mixed technique Aeropitture on newspapers between 1927 and 1935 Bright colors Sicily Strait of Messina Aeolian Islands Italy Futurism Unique works that together with the newspapers also testify to the era Michele Falanga was born in 1865 in Bagnara Calabra (Reggio Calabria) He died in Messina in 1937. He loves studying, especially classical literary subjects, theology, philosophy and history. At the time the city of Messina appears to be in great turmoil and attracts many foreign capital, thus encouraging the opening of new commercial and industrial activities. Everyday life is interrupted by one of the most tragic events in our country: the disastrous earthquake of 1908 that hits Messina involves Michele personally; in fact he loses two children. These events cause a complex conception of life and destiny to take root in him. He began to write poems in Sicilian dialect, and became acquainted with Futurist painting through the first exhibitions of Pippo Rizzo and Giulio D'Anna (Messinese by adoption). He then began to paint this cycle of Futurist paintings, all on period newspapers. He painted until upon his death in 1937 This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
