This is a charming vintage Chinese blanket chest which dates to the mid 20th century.
Made of solid rwood it … more This is a charming vintage Chinese blanket chest which dates to the mid 20th century.
Made of solid rwood it is fairly modestly sized and could serve a variety of purposes in any home. It is ideal for use as a small blanket box at the foot of a bed or perhaps could be used as a toy chest.
The chest features ornate carvings depicting rural scenes and temples.
The top has a deep lift up lid which opens to reveal a clean interior.
The lid is fitted with a typically styled Chinese brass latch and has an internal stay to stop it from falling open too far.
The wood has been stripped back to the natural wood and has a waxed finish which is fairly matt.
CONDITION
This piece is in solid structural condition with minor cosmetic marks of age and use.
