This is a useful blanket chest which dates to the early 20th century.
Made of pine it is a heavy … more This is a useful blanket chest which dates to the early 20th century.
Made of pine it is a heavy and well made piece which began life as a tool chest.
The chest has a deep lid which has been newly reupholstered in a dark green textured chenille fabric. The lid opens to reveal a clean interior with chain to hold the lid open.
To either end of the chest is a metal handle.
The chest has been hand painted in a creamy yellow coloured paint before being waxed for protection. In real life the yellow is much paler than in the photos.
CONDITION
The chest is in solid structural condition with various cosmetic marks of age and use.
The key for the lock is missing.
