Black leather Alanda loveseat sofa with adjustable backrests and armrests designed by Paolo Piva for B&B Italia, 1980s. This smaller version sofa with width of 68” comfortably seats 2 people and the adjustable backrests make for a perfect support for viewing a show or reading a book. The adjustable armrest makes the sides into comfortable pillows for an afternoon nap.
The idea behind the Alanda was to create a “mobile” piece of furniture. Developed with the B&B Research Centre, the mechanism allows different positions following the changing needs of the user. Alanda was conceived as an open object, destined for multiple desires to use the body to create form - to be lived.
