The swivel base is sturdy, dependable, and silent, and swivels 360 degrees. The base is in new condition, no scratches. The feet do not scratch the floor. The seat cushion is removable. I bought this chair because it felt so comfortable, and I wanted a swiveller. It's contemporary looking but also classic, so it fits with my more traditional room.
The intent was to read in this chair by my big window and swivel around to look out. But despite trying it out in the store, the seat depth is a little large for my body, I'm 5'3". I used it a few times, and guests sat in it a few times. It's been mostly unused and taking up space, meant to sell it years ago but didn't know about Chairish till now.
Note: It is not a rocker, it just swivels 360 degrees.
It was purchased about 7 years ago from West Elm, a Lucas stationary chair is in the current West Elm catalog and is the same chair as mine, excpet that it's stationary. . less
