Abraham Palatnik (1928-2020) was a Brazilian artist best known for his kinetic sculptures and for a series of Op Art acrylic animals known as the ‘Artemis Collection’ produced in the 1970’s. This elephant sculpture is part of that collection and features a wonderful black abstract geometric design that changes depending on the angle. The striated white lines provide an illusion of curves and movement. No signature though it is undoubtably Palatnik with paper ‘Made in Brazil’ label at the base.
Good vintage condition with some light surface scratches.
Measures 10” wide x 6” tall x 1.25” deep. less
