Christian Thomsen (1860 Kolding - 1921 Copenhagen), Boy with calf, design c. 1910, execution 1967. Model number 772. Second choice. Porcelain with underglaze painting. 17 cm (height) x 16 cm (length) x 12 cm (depth). Signed “Chr. Thomsen” on the back of the plinth, marked and numbered under the base.

- Youthful impetuosity -
The stubborn calf tries to go its own way and must be tamed by the farmer's boy. The animal and the boy are intertwined, making the scenes almost dramatic. The human boy 'fights' against the animal boy's impetuosity.
