Charlotte perriand mexique outdoor low table for cassina cassina interprets the mexique furnishings designed by charlotte perriand in new versions, for outdoor living enjoyment at its best. The mexique outdoor low tables are made of strong durable materials and finishes and convey the same harmony and purity of line that distinguish the original design. Charlotte perriand began designing the “en forme libre” series of tables in 1938 and devised mexique in 1952 for the students’ rooms in the maison du mexique at the cité universitaire internationalex in paris. The iconic triangular shape with bevelled edges - designed to make the best use of the space - is the unmistakable feature of the mexique outdoor low table, as well; available in three sizes and in various materials. Top in okoume plywood, matt lacquer finish or glossy glazed ceramic. Base in stainless steel, matt black powder-coat finish. Feet in black plastic. Charlotte perriand began designing the “en forme libre” series of tables in 1938 and devised mexique in 1952 for the students’ rooms in the maison du mexique at the cité universitaire internationale in paris. Re-edited by cassina for the first time in 2014, it gave rise to a collection that includes several iterations, all while staying true to the original designs. Now, working closely with pernette perriand-barsac, daughter and sole heir of charlotte perriand, cassina introduces the mexique tables and stools in new versions for en plein air enjoyment to the max. The iconic triangular shape with bevelled edges - originally designed to make the best use of the available space - remains the unmistakable trait in the mexique outdoor line, launched this year as a low table, dining table and high table with matching stool, available in two heights. New materials available in fresh, novel finishes and colours differentiate and emphasize the elegant design of this family. For all of the pieces in the series, okoume wood, ideal for outdoor use, comes with matt lacquer finish in the following colours: marron glacé, china red, comfort, petroleum, light grey, sage green, a new shade of blue and capri blue; the low tables also come with glossy glazed ceramic finish in the following shades: mossy green, basalt grey and light grey, while a natural teak seat is also available for the stools. Thanks to this vast and varied product range, it is possible to mix and match the various styles to create dynamic, free-form arrangements in absolute charlotte perriand spirit. As is true of all the works in the cassina i maestri collection, each piece is authenticated by the cassina logo, charlotte perriand’s signature and by a serial number that corresponds to the data on its id card. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
