The composition consists of dripped, splattered and brushed oils in bright, almost neon hues. The inherent sense of energy in the piece likely stems from Dalglish's experiences living in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s. The piece is a recognizable counterpart to the Kinetic, graffiti influenced works being produced by his contemporaries; Basquiat and Haring, among others. Alongside the works of these other artists, this piece is a great example of the explosion of creativity in New York's art scene at this time. See less
