We are offering a beautiful Teak wall unit/sideboard with a fold down server - bar. This piece was brought over by our consignor in 1963 when he immigrated to the US. There is still the original order label on the back of the lower cabinet.

Peter Løvig Nielsen was a Danish furniture designer known for his elegant and functional designs. He trained as a cabinetmaker and then went on to study furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Nielsen began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s, and quickly gained recognition for his innovative designs. His furniture was characterized by its clean lines, simplicity, and functionality, and he often used natural materials such as wood, brass and leather. Nielsen designed a wide range of furniture, including chairs, tables, and storage units all manufactured at Hedensted Møbelfabrik.
Hedensted Møbelfabrik also referred to as Løvig Møbelfabrik locally, was founded in Hedensted Denmark in 1901. starting in the late 1940s the company produced furniture such as desks and bookcases in Teak and Oak for private homes, export to the USA as well as a number of companies. The company Peaked from 1967 to 1973 when there were around 38 employees. The company closed in 1991. less
