Is it possible to be King of the Jungle when you look this sweet?!? Lisa Larson apparently thought so when she created an Africa series for her Swedish ceramics firm, Gustavsberg, in the 1960’s. She designed the lion in a few different sizes including this ‘mini’ version that stands a whooping 2” tall…how’s that for a roar! I love the friendly face but my favorite part is the subtle tail at the back. Hallmark and paper label at the base.
Very good vintage condition…no chips, cracks or breaks.
