Sculpture in black glass paste, compact, full, very heavy, with mouth and eyes in white glass paste, created by Licio Zanetti for the artistic glassworks "La Murrina", signed with diamond tip on one paw "La Murrina".

Information on the artist and/or manufacturer:
Murrina was born in the 1960s in Murano from a small furnace managed by a group of master glassmakers. The starting activity was the creation of a few prestigious blown glass objects designed by the same artists who owned the furnace. In 1974 the ownership of the small furnace was transferred to a Milanese family, already a producer of glass and metal lighting items. The company begins to be managed in a more entrepreneurial way, the "La murrina" brand is registered all over the world and the collections expand and enrich. The year 2000 marks the beginning of collaboration with important designers and architects who enrich the production with contemporary design collections, always created according to the ancient techniques of glass blowing, among which we find Licio Zanetti.
