This antique tastevin bears the seal of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, the most prestigious wine organization dedicated to the promotion of Burgundy wines, France. Founded in 1934, the Confrérie has remained true to preserving the region's winemaking traditions. Its headquarters is located in the historic Château du Clos de Vougeot, in the heart of Burgundy, the epicenter of the wine elite.
The tastevin features a classic design with engraved circles on its interior. Some of these circles are considerably smaller than those found in more modern models, giving the piece a unique character. Unlike most models, which are made of metal in silver color, this tastevin appears to have had a gold plating that has worn off over time, leaving visible remnants in some areas. In other parts, the object appears to be made of silver, except for the seal, which seems to have been plated with both metals, gold and silver, giving it a distinctive touch.
Element of winemaking tradition: Used in exclusive ceremonies, this tastevin is a piece of great historical significance in the world of wine.
Sober and elegant design: with its austere design and carefully crafted details, this piece is an ideal choice for collectors of historical objects.
Visible seal of the Confrérie: The emblematic seal of the Confrérie is clearly visible, ensuring its authenticity and connection to this prestigious organization.
Two stamped marks: The piece also bears two stamped marks, which, although not fully legible, add extra value in terms of authenticity and provenance. less
