I offer for sale an extremely decorative and fun element to set your table. Produced in italy between the 70s and 80s, it is part of a successful series that included numerous tableware in the shape of fruit and vegetables. This series, which recalls the portuguese production of bordallo pinheiro ceramics, was produced by "italica ars", a company founded in the 1920s in the province of florence and no longer active today. This vintage bowls set is entirely made of handcrafted majolica and can be used to contain diced pineapple as its shape suggests, or fruit salad; i find that the large serving bowl is also perfect to use as a centrepiece. The workmanship and coloring of the ceramic in this set is incredible. The texture recreated by the ceramists will make you think you are actually touching the surface of a pineapple. The resulting combination and contrast is splendid, between the opaque milky white of the body of the bowls and the brilliant gaze of the tuft. The set consists of: 6 small bowls (18cm long and 11cm deep) and 1 serving bowl (38.5cm long by 23.5cm deep) the object is in good vintage condition except for an imperfection, which we have highlighted in the photo, located on the back of one of the bowls. All other items visible in the photos are available for sale on our page. Reach out for any additional questions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution less
