Original acrylic painting by Ada Hanlon
Henninger Farm/Stroup Covered Bridge, an existing structure located to this day in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Dates back to 1880 and has a Burr Arch Truss as its structural support system. It has a full roof and covered sides to protect the wood decking and structural wood support system.
The bridge is 72 feet long by 16 feet wide and crosses the Wisconisco Creek.
This is the last standing wood covered bridge in Dauphin County in its original location.
It is open for foot traffic only, no horse and buggies nor automobiles allowed!
This covered bridge was listed in the National Register for Historic Places.
