Ellsworth Kelly ( 1923 - 2015 ) is an American born Minimalist Modernist Color Field painter. His work emphasizes line, color, and form. The experimental bold artworks are considered to be some of the most important Modernist Minimalist paintings of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Kelly are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The Lincoln Center Poster Collection and The Albert A. list Foundation began a creative program in 1962 of special posters works of art commissioned for festival and special events at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The fine art posters have heralded the opening of each theater building at Lincoln Center, and for such festival as Mostly Mozart, Newport Jazz, and The New York Film Festival.

The Lincoln Center Poster Program has collaborated with the most admired and respected top Contemporary artists of our time collaborating together to create artworks that have become highly desirable and award winning works of art in their own right. The Vivian Beaumont Theater is a Broadway Theater in the Lincoln Center complex on The Upper West Side in New York City. It is the only Broadway Theater outside The Theater District near Times Square. Named after heiress and actress Vivian Beaumont Allen, the theater was one of the last structures designed by Modernist architect Eero Saarinen. The Beaumont was inaugurated and officially opened on October 21. 1965.

The Mid Century Modernist extra large formant framed poster print measures 29 1/4" W X 45 1/8" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglas in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish slim profile detail black metal box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in very good condition. The poster print is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, light to moderate signs of handling. and some light to moderate visible surface wear.
