Nordic Rose - pair of exquisite hand sculpted paper mache 8 point stars. Meticulously created the in traditional Italian Renaissance technique with gesso, bole, water gilding and bitumen of Judea. The center rosettes are painted using a technique called sgraffito, Sgraffito originated in Italy during the Renaissance and was used in the decoration of buildings and palace facades.
They are mounted on a soft white linen backing and framed in an acrylic shadow box. Ready to hang and grace any elegant home. less
