Michel Delacroix is a renowned and easily recognizable artist who works primarily in a primitive style. Known mostly for his busy Parisian street scenes that capture the bustling activity and distinctive architecture of the city, the artist also paints more tranquil scenes of the French countryside.

Born in 1933, Delacroix began painting at a young age. He eventually went to art school and after experimenting with different styles, began to develop a unique, primitive, naive style reminiscent of folk art. During the late 1970’s, he began working in printmaking, and his artwork was published and sold worldwide. In the US, Michel Delacroix has enjoyed immense success, selling out numerous editions and printing several books on his artwork. The artist has had numerous one-man shows around the world and was commissioned to do the official painting of the 1996 Olympics.
