She was born on February 26, 1927 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, United States.
Daughter of Herbert Stroppel and Alice Rebecca MacNair.
She acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Miami University in 1948.
She was an Instructor at Union County College, Cranford, New Jersey, from 1974-1986. Also a private instructor in North Plainfield, NJ from 1977. An instructor of du Cret School Arts, Plainfield, NJ from 1979-1980, organized adult school and art organizations, since 1970.
Artist-in-residence at Severnside Travel, Landing, New Jersey, 1990.

She volunteered at the Longview State Hospital for Mentally Ill, Cincinnati, from 1952-1969. Was a member of the American Artists Professional League (18 awards), American Watercolor Society (signature member), New
