These wedding Kimonos were used for traditional wedding ceremonies for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and are still used in modern traditional weddings. According to a book on kimonos by Norio Yamanaka, a "distinctive aspect of Japanese culture ... was seen during the Heian period (794-1185) when ladies of the court donned twelve layers of kimono for ceremonial occasion". One of the garments was the "modern" Japanese Wedding Kimono.

A beautiful wall decoration for yourself, a gift to a family members or a good friend. Included with the Kimono is a four-foot hanger for easy mounting. The overall size is 53 inches wide, 1-2 inches deep and 76 inches high.
