This is a early 20th century solid wood bed frame with a large carved headboard, footboard and side rails. Traditional French bed boasting decorative detail throughout, an amazing carved pierced pediment or crown and flanked by imposing carved fluted columns. A solid and heavy bed made from thick planks.

The bed is in lovely antique condition, there are signs of restoration in places, also on close inspection you will find normal light marks, surface scratches and old indentations, it has been carefully cleaned, waxed and polished to preserve the beautiful patina. Small amount of old wood worm in places but thoroughly treated out of caution.

A superb quality bed and a real statement piece!
