This charming piece is a 19th Century Swedish hutch or step back cabinet, that likely came from a country house in northern Sweden. Crafted from pine in the primitive style, it features a warm and mellow tone, and hand-dovetailed construction. The spacious lower cabinet has one fixed shelf, and offers plenty of storage.
Above, a distinctive pediment that's characteristic to pieces from this period and region crowns the upper cabinet. Open a pair of cabinet doors open to revel two additional fixed shelves. We love the graceful arch with scalloped detail between the upper and lower cabinets. This piece can be easily separated into two pieces for transport.
