An art glass vase by the American artist James Wilbat. This bright yellow vase is adorned with three-dimensional applied elements in shades of pink, purple, orange, and blue. The base of the piece is a satin white glass. The bottom edge is signed by the artist.
James Wilbat is a prolific glass artist who has studied under artists Joel Myers, Dan Dailey, William Carlson, and Vernon Brejcha. Wilbat studied at Illinois State University, where he studied ceramics and received a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts in 1977 and the University of Kansas, earning a Master of Fine Art degree in Design in 1980. less
