An absolutely stunning antique George II period walnut mirror. This was made in England, it has a carved date and location on the back reading: London, 1741.
It is of superb quality and is beautifully designed, with a sleek and refined look. The walnut has a gorgeous patina, there are beautifully shaped edges, a pierced upper central section and lovely carving on the edges. The central pierced section and carved edges have a gilded finish.
We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. As well as being carved with a date and location on the back, there is also an original label with a coat of arms.
