Renowned for their plump body shape and youthful appearance, these dolls symbolize good fortune and prosperity.

The set comes with its original wooden storage box and a lacquered (urushi) presentation tray.

Storage box dimensions: height 28 cm, width 42 cm, depth 34 cm.

The dolls depict variations of Momotarō (桃太郎), the Peach Boy, a beloved Japanese folk hero born from a peach. He is celebrated for his adventures, where he, along with his animal companions, battles demons.

Crafted from wood, the dolls feature a glossy, whitewashed finish characteristic of Gosho Ningyō. They are richly adorned with handmade fabrics in traditional Japanese patterns and colors such as red, gold, and silver. less
