Condition of the housing
Good condition with minor signs of wear, rear lid has a crack in the glass.

Clockwork runs perfectly. After transport, it takes some sensitivity to align the clock.
Antique mysterious mantel clock Eugène Farcot (1850-1896).
This is a completely normal French mantel clock. The housing consists of two parts, cast metal, patinated and partially covered with gold lacquer.
The enamel dial is protected by a bezel with cut falsetted glass. At the back, the movement is protected by a frosted glass bezel
About the clockwork: The logo “Fot Bte” is clearly visible on the back plate.
