The Maralunga lounge chair was designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1973. This is an original version of the seventies. Upholstered in its original red/brown leather. with steel structure. The backrest can be raised or lowered for total comfort. It won the Compasso d’Oro award in 1979. The Maralunga is characterized by what looks like a slumped backrest but is an adjustable-height headrest, moved by way of a bicycle chain that runs underneath its plush foam cushions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
