A rare Hertha Bengtson jar design for Rorstrand of Sweden. The cylindrical matte ceramic vessel is topped with an unusual conical lid partially decorated with a subtle design that resembles wheels in a high gloss goldenrod yellow. The silhouette of the piece is reminiscent of a minaret and it would be quite striking as an addition to a Scandinavian art pottery collection. Signed at the base.
