This piece is in excellent condition for its age, no cracks or damage to the horn and the oak has a beautiful antique patina. There is plenty of age and wear to the surfaces, but no damage or signs of old repairs, though originally this gone probably would’ve been held with leather so the current string (though pretty old itself) may be a replacement. The gong still works and sounds beautiful!
