Beauchat (1891-1955), titled "A Farnouse{, it dates from the period between 1914-18 when, as a member of the New York National Guard, he was involved in the pursuit of Pancho Villa during the Texas border campaign. Beauchat was born in Buffalo in 1891 and attended the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, studying under Earnest Fosberry. He fought in World War One and participated in several major battles, he continued to paint throughout his military service. After being stationed in France and the Southwest, he returned home in 1919, becoming a member of the Fine Arts League and the Saturday Sketch Club. In very good original condition, 18" x 24" not including the original frame. less
