Constructed from tin with rolled edges, this dramatic … more Antique Green Painted Tin Candle Sconces, A Pair, Circa Early 20th Century. Constructed from tin with rolled edges, this dramatic pair of sconces were likely designed to resemble earlier colonial examples. Traces of original green paint are visible throughout each sconce. The exaggerated backplates with circular cutouts help to reflect the flame, and increase illumination within a space (in this case, the heavy patination offers more of a warm glow). The wide well base allows for use of chunky pillar candles. Unsigned.
