One of the glass rods is missing and another one is broken in half. You really can't tel because of the dozens of rod in front and the overall design. The broken rod is camouflaged by all the others so it can't be seen. You can check online for replacements. The bottom metal base has mild pitting. The bottom plexiglass has mild discoloration as you can see from the photographs. Once all of the rods are placed it's barely noticeable. The shade is brand new in plastic. Two of the bottom sockets on the pole are slightly loose and need looking at because they go on an off at times. The rest of the light sockets work as well as the top bulb inside the shade. The top lamp goes on separately from all of the pole lights.

This lamp is a true show stopper with … more A stunning massive vintage Gaetano Sciolari glass rod and brass floor lamp.
This lamp is a true show stopper with dozens of elegant long glass individual rods that make up the perimeter of the lamp. Each glass rod is hand placed and the interior light sparkles through the rods.
The interior metal structure holds 10 bulbs going up and down the center pole as well as the main light bulb up top inside the shade..
It comes with a huge custom made brand new white linen drum shade with plastic wrap still in tact..
The massive shade was custom made for a client which didn't work out in the end for her, however it's perfect for this massive lamp which calls for a huge shade which you will not find readily available on the market.
I topped off the lamp with a huge solid brass ball finial.
This is a spectacular piece of art and even with a few flaws it's still a wonderful vintage piece of art.
Of course rods will be packaged separetley to protect them during shipping. They slide into each hole very easily.
