His paintings … more This is a Georges Ebrin Adingra (French/African, 1933 - 2005) abstract oil and sand textural paintings on canvas. His paintings depicted African Tribal Imagery in the Cubist Style. It is framed in a simple wood frame where some of the corners don t line up . Measures 26 x 36. The art is signed on the front of the painting and on the back. Please see the photos.
There are a few very minor Losses in the paint thickness itself - see photo closeups-
George Ebrin Adingra was born in 1933 in Adaou ( Ivory Coast) . He originally studied philosphy but later in the 1950’s switched to do what he love to do most- draw and paint.He soon settles in Paris where he applies European Cubism to African themes. He mixes his oil with sand , which results in added dept and texture which becomes his signiture in his work. Adingra has exhibited in New York, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and other places. Adingra died in Angiers (France) in 2005. less
