Carved and Gilded Table Lectern 1700 in lime wood, resting on four turned feet that support a rectangular base structure that acts as a support with a rack in the center to allow the adjustment of the inclination of the top. The book holder is made with a frieze carved with original scrolls and racemes and entirely gilded with the non-embossed parts engraved in chalk with small circular motifs.
This baroque-style gilded lectern is in good condition, regardless of minimal gilding; probably the central support for the inclination of the lectern has been replaced. It is from the 18th century and comes from northern Italy. less
