Until the first half of the 20th century, hollow glass balls surrounded by a rope net were used by sailors as floats. In this way, sailors could locate a place to anchor, or to store fishing gear. Suitable for a marine, beach or seaside setting. This glass bowls were never used as floats, but they inspired this type of luminaire in the mid-20th century. This set could complete a decor in the Audoux Minet style. Each lamp can be used separately or together as shown in the photos. Length of lamp cord with yellow glass 21.26 in.
