A vibrant and striking still life composition, executed in oil onto board.
The composition features an assortment of objects whose silhouettes are defined by black outlines, placed across a green surface. A wine bottle stands tall in between 2 white pitchers. An orange, painted with a zesty pop of colour takes centre stage, and is placed beside a striped jug that adds a playful touch.
The backdrop consists of bold blocks of pink and purple hues, their muted tones adding depth and an uplifting quality to the scene.
The artist’s choice of bold colours, as well as the thick application of paint resulting in a textual quality creates a lively, energetic atmosphere.
