Amazing pair of matching country French bibliotheque library bookcases or display cabinets featuring beveled glass windows and doors. Constructed from mostly pine with a whitewash painted patina that has a weathered, and distressed striped finish exposing the natural pine woodgrains. Each cabinet is fronted by four long doors with beveled glass panes and paneled bottoms. The doors have antique iron hardware, lockplates, and handles. The sides of each case have beveled glass panes that conform to the doors. The bottoms of the doors conceal an enclosed storage area on the bottom of each case. The tops of the cases have a cornice molding on top. Full of aged character and charm with the warm pine patina peeking through the whitewashed finish. The cabinets have an elegant country aesthetic and impressive grand scale measuring 8 feet wide each. Sold as a pair. One case has glass panel separation inside, one does not that is difficult to see.
