Banner … more Staffordshire Pearlware blue edge plate with Black transfer that is hand colored with American Flag, Stars and Liberty Cap. Banner that reads “Independence 1776”. Extremely rare plate with only a few examples that are known. This example is the one that is pictured in David and Linda Arman’s Book Anglo American Ceramics Part 1. Excellent visual condition with a very short professional hairline repair. It measures 6 1/4” in diameter and dates circa 1820.
