This is a very special and rare British colonial style faux bamboo twin sized daybed with lower twin sized trundle. The bed is unsigned but was originally sold at Neiman Marcus in the 1990s.
The daybed features solid wood construction with faux bamboo carvings, finely turned finials, faux bird's eye maple grain painting, and hand painted floral panels.
The daybed was rarely used in a guest bedroom where it was styled as a sofa, with a red fitted seat cushion cover, 2 red bolsters, and 4 down-filled throw pillows by BHD (Bandhini Design House). Mattresses are NOT included with this bed.
The 1990s era daybed is in very good vintage condition. The bed is very well built and looks stunning. There is moderate wear to the painted finish, as shown in photos. The trundle bed rolls smoothly on its original caster wheels.
The bed measures 81" wide, 44" deep, and 65.6" tall. The main bed platform is about 19" high. The bed can be disassembled for easier transport. less
