There wood on the bottom of the light fixture has been repaired in the past. If you look closely at the photo which shows it, you can see where wood cement was used to close the split. It remains very secure and tight because, by design, the wood panels which extend from top to bottom are screwed in at the bottom (and top) all the way around. There is some age-related patina on the silver color or chrome pieces at the top and bottom of the fixture.

This is an ultra modern contemporary (1970's or 1980's) chrome (or silver color metal) and wood (walnut) hanging pendant or swag light fixture. It is in excellent working condition and contains 2 chandelier style and size light sockets/bulbs. It is surrounded by walnut wood made in the U.S.A. and tinted transparent panels. It hangs from a chain. It is shown in the photos hanging from a J-hook, as I am guessing most people would use for hanging it. The chain (with electric cord intertwined in it) measures about 75" long. There is no on/off switch -- it simply works when it is plugged in. As you can see in the photos it works great.
The fixture itself (i.e., not including the chain/electric cord) measures about 21 1/2" tall and it is about 11" in diameter. There wood on the bottom of the light fixture has been repaired in the past. If you look closely at the photo which shows it, you can see where wood cement was used to close the split. It remains very secure and tight because, by design, the wood panels which extend from top to bottom are screwed in at the bottom (and top) all the way around. less
