Meet Gentiaan, a one-of-a-kind table lamp handcrafted from a rare vintage Regina Delft Blue vase, likely created in the 1960s or 1970s. Produced by the Kunstaardewerkfabriek Regina, an esteemed pottery factory in the Netherlands, this piece exemplifies the unparalleled craftsmanship for which Regina was renowned. Each vase was meticulously hand-painted by skilled artisans, featuring intricate floral motifs in the iconic Delft Blue palette. The vase’s smooth glaze and detailed patterns showcase the artistry and high-quality ceramics that have made Regina pottery so highly collectible.
The lamp is paired with a custom-made pleated lampshade, crafted from genuine Ikat fabric. The fabric, a silk-cotton blend, was hand-dyed and hand-loomed in Margilan, Uzbekistan—a region celebrated for its rich textile traditions. The Ikat weaving technique, which involves resist dyeing the threads before weaving, creates unique and intricate patterns that complement the vase’s timeless design.
