* Model "Penguin / Penguin" … more An elegant and very high-quality and rare vintage mid-century modern design classic is offered here.
* Model "Penguin / Penguin" 1960s design by Carl Sasse for Casala (Germany) *
+ The flared legs and backrest in timelessly modern black and the seat in the natural color of beech wood are a very interesting contrast in color and are rarely available in this version. The black paint was already repainted by the previous owner and the condition of the paint is therefore very good and nice to look at.
+ The design is extraordinary and simply unmistakably beautiful\. For us - especially in this version - it is a very special vintage treasure from Germany.
+ High-quality mid-century vintage object made of solid beech wood.
+ The price is for a set of two folding chairs. In total we have two sets in stock in comparable condition.
DIMENSIONS
Width 45.5 cm * Height 79.5 cm * Depth 55 cm
Seat height 45 cm * Seat depth 42.5 cm
CONDITION
The object is in very good and beautiful, above-average vintage condition, partly reworked and very well maintained.
+ On closer inspection, of course, there are still a few smaller and usual traces of a vintage object.
+ We have currently lightly sanded the seat and then treated it with high-quality linen oil and additionally sealed it with clear varnish.
The black frame was already repainted by the previous owner, so the black color is also in very good condition.
+ The age-related signs of use are minor surface scratches, bumps / notches, these are usually angular, especially on the legs. In addition, there are slight, light-related and age-related color variations in the wood and very few, smaller defects on the surface. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution less
