This unique set of four original acrylic paintings by Natasha Lelenco, part of the "nombre no válido" series, features emoticon-inspired faces painted on circular tondos of reclaimed cork wood. The artworks merge natural textures with the abstract language of digital emoticons, each piece presenting a distinct expression ranging from happiness and contentment to sadness and indifference. The natural cork wood, sourced from tree cuttings in Galicia, provides an organic, textured base that contrasts with the smooth, vibrant acrylic paint, giving the works a sculptural quality that stands out on any wall. Note: This product is composed of 4 pieces that can also be purchased separately in our storefront. The set will only be available as long as each of the 4 pieces that compose it remains available. Each face is crafted from intricate patterns of leaves, clover, and small blue flowers, echoing natural landscapes and water. The faces convey a range of emotions: Shy Face (nombre no válido 1): Subtle contentment, expressed through delicate leaf patterns. Happy Face (nombre no válido 2): A cheerful expression formed with vibrant clover leaves and flowers. Poker Face (nombre no válido 3): Neutral, indifferent, a "poker face" of leaves and water motifs. Crying Face (nombre no válido 4): Sadness, subtly integrated into the natural landscape of lily pads and foliage. The vibrant greens and blues, paired with contrasting yellow accents along the rough edges of the wood, create a strong visual impact while celebrating the natural irregularities of the cork. These emoticons, symbols of modern digital communication, are reinterpreted through a natural lens, blending the organic with the artificial in a reflection on how language and emotion have evolved. Each tondo is individually crafted, showcasing Lelenco’s meticulous attention to detail, from the layering of leaves and flowers to the expressive shapes that form each emoticon. The artist’s use of acrylic on cork wood allows for a striking contrast between the bold, bright colors and the textured natural support, creating a sense of depth and dimension. This set of four pieces is a thoughtful exploration of the intersection between nature, technology, and contemporary communication. Display them together for a dynamic statement or separately for individual impact.
