A wonderful Regency period rosewood military writing box. Of excellent construction in solid rosewood with attractive rosewood veneers onto a mahogany carcas. Embellished with brass mounts throughout including recessed "military" handles. The box opens to become a writing slope , complete with its original leather writing surface and ink bottles. There is a "secret" drawer to one side. Sympathetically repolished to a very high standard and now offered for sale in excellent condition.
