A 20th century transitional enfilade, influenced by the visual codes of Louis XVI and Gustavian painted furniture, this buffet–or sideboard–can work in many interior styles. The soothing blue color is charmingly patinated to reveal the pine wood below an earlier coating of white. Three drawers in the frieze open by small knobs to reveal undecorated interiors. Fluted pilasters in between the paneled doors give the sense of Classical order to the structure. Each locking door opens to a separate cabinet, and share a key. A slight bullnose overhang from the top is accented by a darker shade of blue, that is echoed on the plinth base. Please view the detailed images less
