Description: Pair of antique German porcelain perfume burners from the 19th century. Pair of rare perfume burners with romantic Watteau decoration … more Pair of antique German porcelain perfume burners from the 19th century. Pair of rare perfume burners with romantic Watteau decoration in German porcelain, from the KPM Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in Berlin, dating back to the second decade of the 19th century. The two objects in full Rococo style are made up of a shaped base on which the oval-shaped stove with the central hole for the wick is placed. Four volute-shaped uprights support the container of essences in the shape of a sort of tureen with handles, equipped with a perforated lid with a pine cone knob.

The porcelain has a white background with rich gold decorations and has two tableaus on the larger sides with painted gallant scenes illuminated in Watteau style, while on the sides of the larger diameter we find floral decorations, as well as on the lid together with painted ladybugs. On the bottom, in blue, the mark representing the scepter of the Berlin manufacture relating to 1820-1830 and the imprinted numbers 5 and 6.

In good condition, no chipping, only minimal gilding and a restoration on one handle. This piece has an attribution mark,
