Stunning miniature antique sterling silver match striker made by the firm of andrew barrett & sons in 1927 in the form of a pint mug cup a very good looking well made and collectable piece, the cup is designed to hold matches, the outside is serrated so you can strike the matches anywhere, the piece has a sterling silver rim which is hallmarked as follows ab&es for andrew barrett & sons, the date letter c for 1927, a ships anchor for birmingham made and the sideways facing lion for sterling silver the condition is well used, the glass is perfect, the rim of the silver is heavily patinated as you can see in the pictures dimensions height:- 5cm width:- 5cm depth:- 3.3cm please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask any questions please feel free to ask before you bid condition please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the around condition please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
