The mirror features a classic tombstone … more We’re pleased to offer for sale this charming late 19th century antique Victorian mirror. The mirror features a classic tombstone form with a gilt liner and is in excellent condition. One small detail that we’d like to point out are the subtle curves at the bottom corners of the gesso liner surrounding the glass. Most that we encounter have right angles at the corners making this example just a bit more interesting and desirable than your standard tombstone mirror. There is some light silvering loss towards the bottom of the glass, but nothing that obstructs use. Most collectors, ourselves included, prefer to see some signs of aging in the glass for its added charm and to let them know the old glass hasn’t been replaced. The mirror measures 21 1/2” wide x 34” tall x 2 1/4” deep. less
